2013 Awards!

We had an incredible time at The Central Canadian Bluegrass Awards this past weekend. We congratulate all the winners! But for us, we are proud to announce we recieved awards for the following:  Luke- Banjo player of the year, Will- Mandolin Player of the year and Melissa- Composer of the year! The one I can truely say was the most emotional was sharing in the win for "A Part of Me" as recording of the year. Carol graciously took the stage, joined by everyone who had a part in it. We were greeted with a standing ovation and lots of tears! This project has changed who we are as a band. Thank you Carol for including us on your journey!

Thanks to all our peers who nominated us!

Gary Glenn comes to Hard Ryde!

Due to an injury, Rich Koop cannot play Bass this season! We wish him well and a speedy recovery! HOWEVER.. we are tickled that Gary Glenn has accepted the position for now and look forward to a great summer!
Gary Glen is no newcomer to the Canadian Bluegrass Scene and in fact was one of the first Bass players to play alongside of Doug , many, many years ago! Gary was awarded Bass Player of the year doing just that in 1990. Gary started playing Bluegrass on the Banjo in 1974. With a long listed repertorie of bands along the way we are excited to have Gary on board and to become a Hard Ryder!

CD Release a huge success!
